United States Sixth Circuit
ARMCO, INC. v. UNITED STEELWORKERS OF AMERICA, 00-3609, 00-3610, 00-3611
In suit against union and city defendants, alleging claims under the Labor Management Relations Act and 42 U.S.C. Section 1983, the Norris-LaGuardia Act divested the district court of jurisdiction to enter a consent decree between plaintiff and city defendants, and the district court violated the Younger abstention doctrine; accordingly, consent decree vacated and case remanded to determine whether to bifurcate the claims for damages against the unions under the Section 1983 claim.
