WATCHTOWER BIBLE AND TRACT SOC. OF NY v. VILLAGE OF STRATTON, 99-4087, 00-3325

Ordinance requiring solicitors to register with city before canvassing private homes for the "purposes of advertising, promoting, selling and/or explaining any product, service, organization or cause" is neither unconstitutionally overbroad nor vague, and narrowly tailored to serve significant government interests of preventing fraudulent solicitation.
