United States Fifth Circuit
Carmona v Leo Ship Management, Inc., 18-20248
Affirmed in part. District court dismissed plaintiff's personal injury case stating the the court lacked personal jurisdiction and the Fifth circuit agreed. However, the Fifth circuit held that the district court should have considered whether the exercise of personal jurisdiction accords with traditional notions of fair play and substantial justice and remanded the case for the district court to decide that prong.
