Gahagan v. US Citizenship and Immigration Services, 17-30898
Held that attorneys appearing pro se cannot recover fees under the Freedom of Information Act. The plaintiff, an immigration attorney, made certain FOIA requests in his own name, and successfully sued the government pro se when he was dissatisfied with the response.
