United States Fifth Circuit
US v. Lopez, 07-10151, 07-10321
A sentence for illegal re-entry after deportation is affirmed over claims of error regarding whether: 1) defendant's sentence was substantively unreasonable; and 2) the lack of a fast-track early disposition program in the Northern District of Texas deprived defendant of a sentencing reduction, in violation of his equal protection rights, and resulted in an unwarranted sentencing disparity.
