United States Fifth Circuit
Walk Haydel & Assocs. Inc. v. Coastal Power Prod. Co., 06-30886
In a suit brought by a Louisiana corporation against a Chicago-based law firm for fraud, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty, grant of law firm's motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction is reversed where plaintiff established a prima facie case for specific personal jurisdiction and the district court's evidentiary hearing was inadequate to require more.
