United States Fifth Circuit

US v. Parker, 06-60244

A conviction and sentence for participating in a conspiracy to distribute crack is affirmed over claims that: 1) defendant's statutory and constitutional rights to a speedy trial were violated because his trial began over 550 days after his initial indictment; 2) the jury verdict was based on insufficient evidence; and 3) the district court erred in applying a life imprisonment sentencing enhancement.
