Williams v. Dallas Indep. Sch. Dist., 05-11486

In a 42 U.S.C. section 1983 case brought against former employer-school district claiming that it retaliated against plaintiff for engaging in constitutionally protected speech, summary judgment for the school district is affirmed where plaintiff's memoranda to an office manager and principal were written in the course of performing his job as Athletic Director, and thus, the speech contained therein was not protected by the First Amendment.
