United States Fifth Circuit
Wright v. Quarterman, 05-70037
A motion for a certificate of appealability (COA) from a denial of a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in a death penalty case is denied over claims that reasonable jurists would find debatable whether: 1) petitioner's Confrontation Clause claim was procedurally barred; 2) he received ineffective assistance of counsel at trial; and 3) the state suppressed evidence in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment and Brady.
