United States Fifth Circuit
US v. Castro-Trevino, 05-40850
Conviction for exporting from the U.S. into Mexico 11,500 rounds of ammunition is affirmed over claims that defendant's guilty plea was not supported by a sufficient factual basis because his offending conduct only amounted to an attempt to export ammunition, rather than actual exportation. However, judgment is modified to reflect conviction for attempted exportation only.
