United States Fifth Circuit

US v. Castro-Trevino, 05-40850

A conviction for illegally exporting from the U.S. into Mexico rounds of ammunition is affirmed, with modification of the judgment to reflect conviction for attempted exportation only, pursuant to a claim that his guilty plea was not supported by a sufficient factual basis because his offending conduct only amounted to an attempt to export ammunition, rather than actual exportation.
