US v. Hernandez, 05-50191

Defendants' convictions and sentences for six counts of conspiracy arising out of illegal drug activity are affirmed over claims of error regarding: 1) denial of post-trial motions to dismiss the charges on speedy trial grounds; 2) use of a successor judge; 3) ineffective assistance of counsel; 4) sufficiency of the evidence; 5) a firearm enhancement; and 6) insufficient explanation of the reasons for the sentences.
