Bridas S.A.P.I.C. v. Gov't of Turkmenistan, 04-20842

Vacatur of an arbitration award against the Government of Turkmenistan, a nonsignatory to an arbitration agreement between plaintiff and a government-owned oil and gas company, is reversed in a dispute involving an oil and gas development deal where the totality of the record demonstrated that the government should be bound as an alter ego of the signatory party.
