United States Fifth Circuit
DELGADO v. REEF RESORT LTD., 03-60611
Dismissal for lack of personal jurisdiction is affirmed; Mississippi long-arm statute did not permit Florida resident to bring suit against Belize company in Mississippi, and scuba accident did not result from maritime tort, which would have allowed admiralty jurisdiction. Death on the High Seas Act would also have allowed admiralty jurisdiction, but plaintiff failed to raise that argument to the trial court.
