CLEERE DRILLING CO. v. DOMINION EXPLORATION & PROD., INC., 02-11124

In an action arising from the blowout and resulting total loss of an oil well, the district court's bench trial judgment, which rejected plaintiff's claims against defendant and held plaintiff liable for almost $2 million in damages, is reversed and vacated in part.
