United States Fifth Circuit
LAWSON v. DALLAS COUNTY, 00-11078
Evidence, that medical personnel treating paraplegic prison inmate had actual knowledge of risk to his health but consciously disregarded risk in numerous ways by failing to prevent and properly treat life-threatening ulcers, supported district court's finding of deliberate indifference and, because County should have been aware of the danger its policies posed to inmate, county properly held liable.
