United States Fourth Circuit
Blount v. Clarke, 176743
Vacating relevant orders by the district court granting habeas relief and remanding with instructions to dismiss a habeas application with prejudice in a case involving a man, convicted for crimes he was committed when he was 15, that resulted in a 118 year sentence because although the Supreme Court prohibited jubenile offenders convicted of nonhomicide crimes from sentences of life without parole a partial pardon that reduced his sentence to 40 years rendered the habeas petition moot.
