Smith v. Baltimore City Police Dep't, 15-1604

In a suit against police officers under 42 U.S.C. section 1983 and Maryland law, claiming two officers battered and unlawfully arrested her after they saw her filming them as they arrested a juvenile, the District Court's entry of a jury verdict in favor of defendants is vacated where the admission of evidence of defendant's prior arrests was prohibited by Federal Rule of Evidence 404(b) and was not harmless.
