United States Fourth Circuit
EEOC v. Maritime Autowash, Inc., 15-1947
In a case involving a complaint filed with the EEOC alleging discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, in which the EEOC issued a subpoena seeking information from the employer related to claimant's charges, which the employer opposed, the District Court's denial of the EEOC's application for subpoena enforcement is reversed where the court erred in deciding whether the EEOC had authority to investigate plaintiff's charges.
