United States Fourth Circuit
US v. Archie, 13-4159
In this case, the imposition of an enhanced sentence on defendant under the Armed Career Criminal Act (CCA) is affirmed, where, despite the fact that there were inconsistencies and clerical mistakes in the state records relied upon by the Government for determining defendant's sentence, certain discrepancies, such as different dates listed for the same offense, as here, do not upend the trial court's sound conclusion when there is additional evidence to indicate the erroneous date is likely a scrivener's error.
