United States Fourth Circuit
American Steamship Owners v. Dann Ocean Towing, Inc., 13-1495
The district court properly determined that the choice-of-law provision in the parties' maritime insurance contract required application of New York's six-year statute of limitations, to the claims at issue rather than the equitable doctrine of laches ordinarily applied under maritime law, to determine the timeliness of certain claims brought under the insurance contract.
