US v. Weiss, 13-4039

The 185-month sentence imposed on defendant following his plea of guilty to one count of wire fraud, one count of money laundering, one count of making a false statement on a loan application to a financial institution, the accounts of which are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and one count of corrupt interference with the internal revenue laws of the United States, is affirmed, where the district court did not err in: 1) increasing defendant's offense level for abuse of a position of trust; 2) its loss calculation under the Sentencing Guidelines; or 3) failing sua sponte to appoint various experts to assist defendant in his defense at sentencing.
