US v. Gomez-Jimenez, 12-5030
Defendant Gomez-Jimenez's 180 month sentence and defendant Juarez-Gomez's conviction and 390 month sentence arising out of their roles in a drug conspiracy and distribution scheme are affirmed, where: 1) there was sufficient evidence to support defendant Juarez-Gomez's convictions for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute, and aiding and abetting the same; 2) the district court's did not err in applying the use of a minor enhancement to defendant Juarez-Gomez's sentence; 3) the district court did not err in applying the dangerous weapon enhancement to defendant Gomez-Jimenez's sentence; and 4) both defendants' sentences were reasonable, and any assumed errors in the district court's application of the leadership enhancement to defendant Juarez-Gomez or the use of a minor enhancement to defendant Gomez-Jimenez were harmless in this case.
