United States Fourth Circuit
US v. Green, 12-4879
The district court's denial of defendant's motions to suppress the cocaine is affirmed, where: 1) the district court correctly held that the traffic stop at issue was reasonable in scope and duration and defendant was lawfully seized for a traffic violation when the dog sniff occurred; and 2) the district court correctly held that the police dog was sufficiently reliable and his positive alert provided probable cause for the search of defendant's vehicle.
