United States Fourth Circuit

US v. Savage, 13-6326

The district court's judgment civilly committing defendant as a "sexually dangerous person" under The Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act is affirmed, where: 1) the district court properly exercised jurisdiction over defendant because D.C. offenders are in the legal custody of the Bureau of Prisons for purposes of the applicable statute; and 2) defendant waived his argument that he was required to be release to the District of Columbia.
