United States Fourth Circuit

Seremeth v. Board of County Commissioners Frederick County, 10-1711

In a suit under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act brought by a deaf man against police officers stemming from their actions in investigating a report of domestic violence at the plaintiff's home, the district court's grant of summary judgment to the defendants is affirmed, where: 1) the ADA applies to police interrogations; but 2) due to the exigencies inherent in responding to a domestic violence situation, no further accommodations were required than the ones made by the officers.
