United States Fourth Circuit
Haxhiaj v. Hackamn, 07-6836
Denial of habeas corpus relief from a certification of extraction declaring that petitioner was eligible to be extradited to Italy to serve time for a drug trafficking conviction is affirmed where: 1) a certified copy of the appellate opinion of the foreign court satisfied the showing required by treaty and clearly afforded a reasonable basis upon which to find probable cause; and 2) evidence beyond the fact of a foreign conviction itself is not necessary to establish probable cause.
