United States Fourth Circuit

Abdel-Rahman v. Gonzales, 06-1619

Petition for review of denial of application for asylum and withholding of removal is affirmed over claims that the BIA erred in deciding that: 1) petitioner had not established a well-founded fear of persecution on the basis of his actual or imputed political opinions; and 2) a disclosure to Egyptian officials by the Department of Homeland Security that he was applying for asylum in this country failed to establish an independent ground for relief.
