United States Fourth Circuit
US v. Banks, 06-4216
Convictions for drug and conspiracy charges relating to a prescription drug fraud scheme are affirmed over claims that: 1) the trial court erred in denying defendant's motion to suppress evidence obtained from an inventory search of property brought to the police station during a 2000 arrest; 2) the trial court erred in admitting certain notations written on fingerprint cards by an evidence technician; and 3) a remand is required to allow the trial court to conduct a retrospective evaluation of defendant's competency to stand trial.
