United States Fourth Circuit
US v. Cooper, 05-4956
Conviction and sentence for knowingly discharging a pollutant from a point source into U.S. waters in violation of the Clean Water Act are affirmed over claim that the district court should have granted an acquittal for lack of sufficient evidence, in part as the government failed to prove defendant knew that he was discharging pollutants into U.S. waters.
