United States Fourth Circuit
National City Bank of Ind. v. Turnbaugh, 05-1647
Summary judgment in favor of plaintiffs and entry of permanent injunction against defendant commissioner from enforcing state laws against plaintiffs' operating subsidiaries are affirmed as the National Banking Act and regulations of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency preempt state laws requiring defendant to exercise certain powers over operating subsidiaries of a national bank.
