S. CAROLINA MED. ASS'N v. THOMPSON, 02-2001
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) does not unconstitutionally delegate legislative function. Regulations promulgated pursuant to the HIPAA are not beyond the scope of the congressional grant of authority, and are not impermissibly vague.
