United States Fourth Circuit

JAFFE v. ACCREDITED SURETY AND CAS. CO., INC., 01-1628

A prior Florida judgment, which refused to recognize a Canadian default judgment, must be given full faith and credit; the question, whether the basis for a second default judgment is repugnant to Virginia public policy, rendering it unenforceable, is certified to the Supreme Court of Virginia.
