United States Fourth Circuit

US v. BARTLEY, 98-4317

The crimes of conspiracy to distribute drugs and conspiracy to launder the proceeds from drug sales are closely related crimes for purposes of U.S.S.G. 2S1.1(c), even though each conspiracy causes a separate societal harm, so sentence enhancement was not appropriate.
