US v. Steiner, 14-4628

On remand from the U.S. Supreme Court, which vacated the opinion affirming defendant's conviction for possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, 18 U.S.C. section 922(g)(1), the sentence is vacated in light of Mathis v. US, the Court's latest case about predicate offenses and the categorical approach, where: 1) defendant's 1993 burglary conviction was not a predicate 'crime of violence' under the U.S.S.G.; and thus 2) defendant's Guidelines range should not have been enhanced.
