United States Third Circuit
Dempsey v. Bucknell University, 15-1328
In a 42 U.S.C. section 1983 action, brought against Bucknell University and various university police and administration officials following a disputed assault between a male and female student in the university dorms where charges were ultimately withdrawn, the district court's grant of summary judgment to defendants is affirmed where a reasonable jury could not have found a lack of probable cause despite defendant officers' reckless omission of certain facts from the affidavit.
