United States Third Circuit
In re Arunachalam, 15-3569
In a petition for a writ of mandamus seeking to disqualify a district judge from presiding over a patent infringement action, on the basis of owning mutual funds with holdings in defendant corporations, the court held that it lacked jurisdiction to consider the petition where appellate jurisdiction for patent infringement actions lies with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The Court ordered the clerk to transfer the mandamus petition to the Federal Circuit.
