United States Third Circuit
US v. Burnett, 14-1288
In this case, defendant, a passenger in a vehicle used in a robbery, attempts to establish that he has standing to move to suppress evidence found in the vehicle during a police search of the vehicle after the robbery. Order denying defendant's motion to suppress evidence recovered in the search of the vehicle is affirmed, where defendant-passenger lacked standing to challenge the search of the vehicle as he did not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the place searched.
