United States Third Circuit
US v. Marrero, 11-2351
The district court's judgment of sentence imposed on defendant after he pled guilty to two counts of bank robbery is affirmed, where: 1) the district court did not err in classifying defendant as a "career offender" under section 4B1.1 of the United States Sentencing Guidelines; and 2) the district court correctly concluded that defendant's convictions for simple assault and third-degree murder qualify as "crimes of violence."
