Defendant's convictions on numerous counts of aggravated rape and unlawful sexual contact in violation of Virgin Islands law, and his sentence, are affirmed, where: 1) mid-trial, the district court dismissed the federal charges of failing to register as a sex offender but proceeded to verdict on the local charges; 2) under these circumstances, the district court retained concurrent jurisdiction over the local crimes notwithstanding its dismissal of the federal charges; and 3) defendant's claims of error regarding his trial and sentence fail.
