United States Third Circuit

US v. Clark, 12-3462

District court's revocation of release and imposition of new term of imprisonment followed by another term of supervised release is: 1) affirmed where a district court need not conduct one 18 U.S.C. section 3553(a) analysis for post-revocation incarceration and another section 3553(a) analysis for a new term of supervised release, and it may provide a single analysis that reflects meaningful consideration of the relevant section 3553(a) factors to support each portion of a revocation sentence; but 2) vacated where the new sentence was procedurally unreasonable, as the record does not reflect a meaningful consideration of the relevant section 3553(a) factors.
