United States Third Circuit

US v. Murray, 11-3196

In a Probation Office's request to modify the terms of petitioner's supervised release conditions following his relocation to a new jurisdiction, district court's order granting the request and imposing several new more-stringent conditions on petitioner is remanded for the district court to more clearly explain why the new release conditions are no greater than necessary to satisfy the section 3553(a) sentencing factors, and to impose only those of the government's requested supervised release conditions that involve no greater deprivation of liberty than is reasonably necessary to achieve the purposes set forth in section 3553(a).
