United States Third Circuit
US v. Marrero, 11-2351
In a case in which a defendant pleaded guilty to two counts of bank robbery and was classified as a "career offender" under section 4B1.1 of the federal sentencing guidelines for having been convicted of three crimes of violence, the sentence is affirmed, as the defendant's prior third-degree murder and simple assault convictions both qualified as crimes of violence under section 4B1.2.
