United States Third Circuit
US v. Turner, 10-4573
In a prosecution for various firearms offenses, conviction is affirmed, where: 1) the district court did not err by failing to give a limiting instruction regarding the defendant's cooperation with the government, or by not excluding certain testimony as prejudicial; 2) a "quasi-Anders" appeal brief filed by defense counsel, containing issues they deemed frivolous, was improperly filed, since defense counsel were not withdrawing, and the brief presented issues to the court that need not have been raised; and 3) local rules precluded the Third Circuit from considering the defendant's pro se arguments while he was represented by counsel.
