Matusow v. Trans-County Title Agency, LLC, 07-2148

In a suit arising from a property settlement agreement in a divorce, dismissal for lack of subject-matter jurisdiction is reversed and remanded where: 1) the "domestic relations" exception to diversity jurisdiction did not apply to strip the federal courts of jurisdiction; and 2) the district court could not opt to abstain from exercising its jurisdiction.
