US v. Stewart, 05-2732

A district court's 18 U.S.C. section 4243(e) order committing an individual to the attorney general's custody after his acquittal by reason of insanity is an appealable final order under 28 U.S.C. section 1291. Further, a district court's commitment order under section 4243(e) is a finding of fact that can be reversed only if clearly erroneous.
