US v. Vampire Nation, 05-1715
Defendant's conviction and sentence for mail fraud, criminal copyright infringement, and related charges stemming from his sales of pirated software is affirmed where: 1) there was no error in the district court's actions before, during, or after defendant's trial or at his sentencing; 2) the district court had statutory authority to issue an in personam forfeiture judgment; and 3) was not obligated to provide advance notice of its intent to vary from defendant's guidelines sentencing range.
