United States Third Circuit
EXXON MOBIL CORP. v. SAUDI BASIC INDUS. CORP., 02-2130
Because plaintiff's federal claims are identical to the claims in which the Delaware Superior Court reached a final judgment, the Rooker-Feldman doctrine bars federal subject matter jurisdiction. Plaintiff cannot maintain this federal action as an "insurance policy" in order to relitigate if defendant prevails in its efforts to overturn the state court verdict.
