LAVERDURE v. COUNTY OF MONTGOMERY, 02-2773

A county is not liable under 42 U.S.C. section 1983 for the public statements made by a member of its board of commissioners regarding the job performance of a County health worker, and, under Pennsylvania law, a commissioner is entitled to absolute immunity for his statements.
