US v. PEREZ-OVIEDO, 01-2512

The lack of nexus and fact that the final destination of the vessel captained by the defendant was not the US was irrelevant to the jurisdiction of the US to prosecute defendant under the Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Act, where the Panamanian government consented to the search of the vessel, which was registered in Panama.
